Contemporary Calgary Flips Stampede Tradition on its Head 

One of Calgary’s favourite pancake breakfasts returns July 9
where the western spirit and the art world collide over artful pancakes, live music, line dancing, and art that stops you mid-bite

Contemporary Calgary’s annual Stampede Pancake Breakfast is back – a free, community celebration that brings Western tradition and contemporary art together.

This year’s event will feature:

• Artful pancakes by returning local artist Erik Olson (erickson.ca)
• Live music by Melody Stang
• Drop-in art activities for all ages
• A special treat from Art Café
• New this year: the Ranchman’s Promotional Dance Team will be on-site to lead drop-in line dancing tutorials for all skill levels
• Guests are invited to explore the gallery’s current exhibitions free of charge
