We’ve been serving up pancakes for almost 100 years so we can’t stop now! This year we’re just bringing them to you drive-thru style.

The BMO Kids’ Day Pancake Drive-thru pops up on Stampede Park for a FREE pancake breakfast on Wednesday, July 8. We might be serving them up different this year, but the tradition remains.

Advanced registration is required for the BMO Kids’ Day Pancake Drive-thru.

With the health and safety of our community front of mind, access to the BMO Kids’ Day Pancake Drive-thru will only be provided to those in vehicles. Bicycle, scooter, walk-up and alternative transportation modes will not be permitted. No gathering, parking or tailgating will be allowed on Stampede Park due to current restrictions on mass gatherings.

FAQ

Do I need to book a time in advance for the pancake drive-thru?
Yes, advance registration is required. This helps us manage traffic flow and volume of vehicles throughout the day. Time blocks will be broken down hourly from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

How will the pancake drive-thru work?

  1. When you register your vehicle online, you will pick a specific time block for when you need to arrive at Stampede Park.
  2. Arrive at Stampede Park during your specific time block and enter through one of the designated entrances.
  3. Follow the traffic attendant’s directions.
  4. You will then proceed to a food tent, remaining in your vehicle.
  5. A tray with your pancake breakfast will be provided to you, for the number of people in your vehicle.
  6. Follow the signage to exit off Stampede Park.

What happens if I miss my registered time block?
We will do our best to get you through the line as quickly as possible.

What happens if I am in line and time is running out in my time block?
You will just proceed through the line.What will you serve for breakfast? The pancake breakfast will consist of pancakes, sausage, syrup and juice – the breakfast will be served in a clamshell.

Can I go through the pancake drive-thru on bike, scooter, or any other mode of transportation other than a vehicle?
At this time, based on guidance received from Alberta Health Services, we are only able to offer drive-thru service in a vehicle. Bicycle, scooter, walk-up and alternative transportation modes will not be permitted. No gathering, parking or tailgating will be allowed on Stampede Park due to current restrictions on mass gatherings.

Can I walk up for pancake drive-thru service?
At this time, based on guidance received from Alberta Health Services, we are only able to offer drive-thru service in a vehicle. Bicycle, scooter, walk-up and alternative transportation modes will not be permitted. No gathering, parking or tailgating will be allowed on Stampede Park due to current restrictions on mass gatherings.

Will there be parking available on Stampede Park where I can eat?
There will not be parking available on Stampede Park due to current public health measures around mass gatherings. We kindly ask that you choose to take your order home, to a park or an alternate location to enjoy your breakfast in a safe and socially distanced manner.

Can we walk around and enjoy our breakfast?
Once you have received all your food, you will be directed to exit Stampede Park as no mass gatherings are allowed due to current public health measures. Stampede Park remains closed to pedestrian traffic.

Will there be rides or any other attractions and entertainment?
Due to current public health measures, no mass gatherings are allowed, therefore no additional attractions or entertainment will be scheduled.

Will there be washrooms available?
Venues on Stampede Park remain closed to the public and washrooms will not be available.

Do I have to wear a mask?
Follow advice from Alberta Health Services.
